Career Workshops in CEP(Career Exploration)

Throughout this fall semester, ISG will hold 3 career workshops for Career Exploration Program, during which ISG will be collaborating with Career Services and SFU International.


Details are below:

1. Topic: Work Search / Work Permit
Date and Time: Sep. 20, Tues. 12:30-2 p.m.
Location: AQ4130


- Wondering how to get started on your worksearch? It is never too early to start planning out your career goals. Whether you are just starting school or almost done this workshop will equip you with the skills you need to land a job! Also includes a short presentation on eligibility requirements for a student to work on-campus, off-campus and when they may be eligible for a post-grad work permit.


2. Topic: Resume Workshop
Date and Time: Oct. 5, Wed. 12:30 - 2 p.m.
Location: WMC2532

- Confused on how to use your resume efficiently and effectively to gain the interest of your targeted employer? Come and learn some strategies that will help you put your best foot forward.



3. Topic: Cover Letter Workshop
Date and Time: Oct. 26, Wed. 12:30 - 2 p.m.
Location: WMC2532

4. There's another one career workshop by Career Services:

Topic: Networking & Social Networking
Date and Time: 1:30 - 3 pm
Location: Library Lab 2105

- Are you on LinkedIn, Twitter, or Facebook? Why not use them to find a job! Learn the what, why, and how of building online networks and begin successfully social-networking your way to a job offer.

To attend these workshops, you need to register at Simplicity. You just need to log-in to Symplicity and go to the Events, Workshops section to find the workshops.
